Goa
c/Ample 46
Jaume I
Spending six years living in London I didn't have much choice but to build up a palette for Indian cuisine. In fact over time you could say it developed into an addiction.
I was naturally interested, one day then, when somone recommended to me the Indian restaurant 'Goa', on c/Ample - not too far from Passeig de Colom.
This place doesn't have a great deal to speak of in terms of design or atmosphere, but it does make up for this with the quality of the food.
Here you'll find all the well known dishes - Baltis, Tikka Massalas, Roganjoshes etc...as well as a few more obscure ones I'd never heard of. If meat's not your thing then you're in luck as they have a decent range of vegetarian dishes such as Alu Palak (Spinach Potatoes).
Since my first visit I've been back there three or four times and have always found the food to be excellent, and certainly on a par with anything I have had in London.
Prices are around 6 - 8 euros for a main dish, so you can quite easily get well fed for less than 15€
One other thing worth noting is that you can turn up with a bottle of your favourite wine and the waiter will open it for you!

have you been to this restaurant? tell us your opinion...
